Success for HILG Projects at the Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards 2024
We are delighted that two of the six nominated projects related to the work of our Healthy Ireland Coordinators and Local Development officers were winners at the recent Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards 2024. The successful projects were:
- Donegal County Council – Model Beach Accessibility to improve Health and Well Being – A Strategic Approach (Health and Wellbeing category)
- Limerick City & County Council – Limerick Migrant Integration Forum (Diversity and Inclusion Category)
Donegal County Council had the added honour of being named Local Authority of the year for 2024
The other Projects Nominated for the 2024 Excellence in Local Government Awards:
- Mayo County Council – Fit Sticks Trail (Health and Wellbeing category)
- Waterford City & County Council – Connecting Communities – Healthy Communities Project (Municipal Districts Initiative Category)
- Wexford County Council – Community Calendar (Communications Category)
- Wexford County Council – Sporting Memories (Aged Friendly Initiative – Category)
