Slaintecare Healthy Communities Feabhas Report available to download
Based on lived experience this study was commissioned by Dublin City Council using Seed funding. The primary objective of this work was to establish a meaningful community engagement process and an evidence base for community engagement within the Sláintecare Healthy Community Programme (SHCP) in Dublin City. It sought to provide a structured approach to assessing and prioritising social determinants of health (SDOH) and health needs and assets in the Sláintecare areas, and to inform the place-based approach being undertaken as part
of the SHCP.
This research was undertaken by the RCSI Department of Public Health and Epidemiology, School of Population Health supported by the Local Development Officers in the Dublin SHCP areas of Ballyfermot/Cherry Orchard, Priorswood/Kilmore West, and Finglas/Cabra in collaboration with those living and working in these communities.
