A Community Car Initiative was the self prescribed solution to the transport need of local people in Taghmon, Co Wexford.

The service was created using Seed Funding provided by the Department of Health under the Sláintecare Healthy Communities Programme (SHCP) through Wexford County Council. This project was particularly successful in securing private sector support from Boland’s of Wexford who very generously provide the car, service it and pay for the road tax ensuring a sustainable service.
